Creole is more popular in New Orleans.
Some restaurnts will be creole with a cajun flare. But Creole is ALL over the place in new orleans.
The best place that has cajun food here that i like is:

    Jaquimos

Brigtsens is not cajun like someone mentioned. Mulates has the worst food on the planet. Domilies is not cajun it is JUST po boys. Frankie and Johnnnies is not cajun it is a seafood restaurant and not considered cajun but new orleans cuisine.

Hi there. To me, Cajun and Creole offer there own distinct taste. You will have to try both and find out which one you prefer. I happen to like both myself. I am going to provide you with a list of some of the BEST Cajun and Creole Resturants that New Orleans has to offer. I have been to most all of these and they are all great.
    Cajun***
    Brigsen’s
    Domilse’s Po Boys
    Petunia’s
    Franky @ Johnny’s
    The Alpine
    Mulate’s
    Creole***
    Commander’s Place
    Upperline Resturanr
    Dick @ Jenny’s
    Clancy’s
    Emeril’s New Orleans

Go on-line and type the name of the Resturant that is an interest for you. Do it for Cajun and Creole. That way you can find out what the dishes are.
