I want to know everyones opinions on this.
I personally find Texas and Louisiana to have the best. I love the barbeque down in Texas and the cajun in Louisiana.

D.C., I’ve heard, has really great food. More importantly, great fish.

Texas, hands down.
Tex Mex kicks some serious butt, as does our amazing bar-b-que. We’ve also got some hot stuff (habanero salsa, anyone?) which I KNOW you can’t find in CA (my family lives there and hasn’t been able to find any; I have to ship some to them). Plus if you go to Austin you can get some outstanding variety that tastes amazing.

i like the mid-west down home family comfort food, with a little ethnic food from around the country once in a while.

New York. They have all kinds and some of the best restaurants in the world. Las Vegas, Nevada is coming in second and for the same reason – lot’s of choices and great chefs.

New York-and I’m not from there, but the multicultural richness of NYC has few worldwide cities to compare to. You can get your Texan bbq and your fill of cajun and gator meat, but you also can get good Jamican curried goat, some of the finest sushi and pastries in the world and ice creams/frozen custards/ices/gelatos to your hearts content. There’s even a milliondollar McD’s that serves their food on real plates and has a dress code and a babygrand piano inside! I can have Belgian waffles for breakfast with fruit from Africa, and have tandoori chicken from India with Greek salad for lunch and then have some wonderful steak(black n blue-just punch it and serve it) with the finest seafood from Norway! There just is no comparison!
