Easy! Only ONE to have of course! I live in Louisiana, 90 miles from New Orleans, and the ONLY drink is BUDWEISER beer! Goes PERFECT with ANY cajun food! Ask a cajun!

An absolutely excellent beer that seems to really “shine” either in really hot weather or with hot food is Mexican “Pacifico,” REALLY cold (like a couple of degrees above ice!)
(And for me it never hurts to start things off with a good scotch or a really quality burbon….)

Ice cold beer!!
Ok, well I think I would like a clean crisp beer like Coors Light, but another really good beer is Stella Artois…..Its Belgium….Or Blue Moon

OK Bad M,
Lets just try not to have anything acidic.
Now you are looking at the Cajun experience, so you have to go first with the cold beer. BUT!!!!!! you can’t go wrong with a nice red wine. The others are great, but watch the acid… Even with Thai food you have to watch things that don’t mesh well with the taste buds…

Crawfish etouffee drink a white wine
Jambalaya, dirty rice , and gumbo drink a muscadine wine
BBQ shrimp, po’ boys drink a mint julep
an added note, our boiled seafoods(Crawfish, Shrimp, Crab boils) wouldn’t be the same without a Dixie Beer to wash it down!!

Bud, white wine and sweet tea. May I come to dinner. You are making me hungry. After the one year anniversary am considering a move back after a 20 year hiatus. Used to run the streets of the quarter much to the dismay of my parents. Anyone from Johnny Whites still alive or Big Daddy’s or Lucky Pierre’s. Go uptown Fat Harry crowd folks or Tipitinas. Ever spend time in Oppaluccass eating squirrel brains and nutria meat?

bourbon—ever hear of Bourbon St. in New Orleans for Mardi Gras? It’s the thing to go with that spicy food.
