I’m from Louisiana, so i’m bias. Cajun as a type is very diverse and delicious, but it’s also very fattening.

i am in Denver. Mexican food rules here. But it is diverse. There is good sushi(some of the best in the country), thia, chinese, Indian, and a lot of steak houses. I have traveled all over this country from north to south and east to west and I have found no better place with this much good food.

We have a blend of almost everything here in the midwest area.

i think the metro area, large cities with diverse population are the places you find all kinds of great food.
i live in L.A. CA, we have just about any kind of real authentic restaurants, if you are food lover, you will really enjoy it here.
i’ve lived in SF, it is good as well, and city like NY, i frequently visit, has a lot of great food too.
who cares about fat? LOL, it is all about the taste and authenticity.

You might be biased, but Southern cooking is the best. Plenty of choices influenced by the French, The Indians, The Mexicans, and lots of Northern influence as well. If this were not so, then why do most of the TV cooks have a Southern Drawl?
Emeril Lagasse and Nathalie Dupree are only two of the great names that come to mind when I think of great creative cooks. Both are Southern, and both can cook anything. In New Orleans alone, you can visit several of the very best five star restaurants in the world, You can also visit some of the dingiest dives and experience the best po-boys in the world.
Oh and I’m from California, born and raised. 59 years of enjoyable meals under my belt.

It depends on what you like. I like Cajun. In Georgia and North Carolina they have grits and shrimp, mashed potatos with cheddar cheese, fried chicken and friend green tomatoes.
In Philadelphia PA , we have the cheesesteak. And Amish chicken and dumplings and shoo fly pie.
In Maine they have lobster.
In Seattle they have Alaskan crab meat and the freshest fruit you can imagine. also salmon.
In Texas and Arizona they have Mexican burritoes and chicken fahitas.
In Chicago they have delicious steak. In Pittsburgh, they sear the steak on the outside and it’s juicy on the inside.

Chicago! Awesome Pizza, Great Mexican Food, Little Italy, Best Hot Dogs, Delicious Steaks…..I’m getting hungry! Chicago is very diverse and it’s restaurants reflect that.
