Ok, so I just went to Toronto for my first time last week and was told I should order from this restraunt. I dont remember what the restraunt was called, but I know it was in Toronto, and might have been cajun or some ethic type food. It was amazing, it was strips of beef soaked in a type of sauce for 2 weeks with brusel sprouts and rice and other veggies. I would love to know what that was called if anyone knows. If you know the recipe that’d be even better.
All i know is that I was staying at the beach motel on Lakeshore blvd w, and my friend I visited lives in toronto, about 10 minutes away from the motel. He said he was going to go into town and grab us this dish that is marinated in sauce for 2 weeks. It came in a plain bag so I didnt catch the name of the restraunt.

I lived in Louisiana, and they have the best seafood ever, and cajun cooking. Now I live in Washington, and seafood is really big here too. Salmon the most.
Oh, I LOVE Carne Asada and Fish Tacos. I used to live in San Diego, and that’s the only place that has those (made right). And orange juliuses

Let’s not even consider Hurricane Katrina as a factor in this equation. Louisiana will emerge soon enough a mightier and better state than it was before. At any rate, I like Louisiana because of its cheaper taxes, cheaper cost of living, job market (yes, it’s actually there around Baton Rouge and will be again around New Orleans,) and Southern hospitality. (Kentucky does not have much hospitality, and Southern hospitality at that!) Also, the cajun and creole cultures are intriguing, and the food is remarkable!
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Alexandria, Lafayette, Hammond, Monroe, Shreveport: Which of these cities is my best bet? Any other place in LA that you think is good? What is so good about it?
I know I’m asking a lot of questions, I’ve done my research and am convinced this is the right way to go. But I also want input from people who live there now, natives who maybe have moved off, or people who visit there frequently. Thanks!
If You’ve Ever Been To Or Live In New Orleans…?

But my bf wants to get a farm in louisiana but I’m complelely unfamiliar with the culture over there
