I need snack ideas– Having “Fat Tuesday in November” Mardi Gras 10th birthday party for a very picky eater!

I want to keep it in the Mardi Gras cajun/creole type theme but I know my son won’t eat anything spicy or that he thinks looks “gross” and probably his friends won’t either. It’s an evening party so I have to feed them something dinner-like without resorting to pizza but preferably finger foods so they can snack while having fun.

I don’t want much, do I???
UUuuuuh, I DO want it to be fun for him, but we can have pizza any time, I want something different that fits the theme but that he’ll still like, that’s why I’m asking for help! YOISH!

My daughter has to bring Cajun food for her class. Any ideas what she can bring that won’t need to be heated?

I know how to cook jambalaya, gumbo, etc, but what can she bring that’s more like a snack?

Are Pralines Cajun?

Today is my husband’s birthday. He is now 42. He acts like it’s just another day especially when it comes to him. Last year I hosted a surprise football party for him on his birthday. If you don’t remember November 3rd 2008. Let me remind you the Steelers won the super bowl. It’s his favorite team. Anyhow I just want to make this birthday a nice one as well. Oh yeah he loves seafood, home cooked food, steaks, creole, etc….Any ideas please share…..Thank you

Office Party Theme Ideas?

This will NOT go to voting… I will choose 10 PT Best Answer to the Person with the best ideas.
We’ve got an office party (called AfterHours) in November. I need some original ideas for our committee to discuss.
We can have beer, wine, etc.
We have a budget of $500, but we can go over if necessary.
For a business of about 150 ppl.
Themes already done:
Tailgating
Carnival (Pie throwing, dunking booth, etc.)
Beach
Themes already on our ‘brainstorming’ list:
Mardi Gras in November (beads, creole food, masks…)
Homeless Society (grocery cart races, drink from mason jars, soup kitchen food…)
LIFE (the game is played kind-of like “are you smarter than a 5th grader” and a “cop” will go around arresting people who haven’t “turned 21″ yet for drinking and we will have an ‘old folks home’ where they can race wheelchairs)
ANY MORE IDEAS? PLEASE?!
