    Don’t use seafood boil. Chicken or vegtable stock are both fine. If your shrimp have the shells on them, just peel the shrimp , put the peels, the parts of the bell pepper, onions, and celery that you would normally throw away into a bot of water, brig to a rapid boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 30 min to an hour, this will give you a hearty stock for the creole.

    I would use chicken stock or bullion. Yes but i do not know how much. Heres a recipe using it maybe look at this one and then you can figure out how much to use for yours. the recipe has lots of shrimp in it .
