How could i season beans?

So,tonight i decided to cook a pot of beans for dinner.I started at about 3:00 and i just fried a little bit of bacon in the pot and then put the water and let it boil so then i added the beans. They have been cooking for about an hour and I’m ready to season them that way the seasoning can have time to settle into the beans. However,i’m unsure of what i could put in them to make them taste better. Also,i love spicy food so what could i put that wouldn’t make then taste unusual?I have some creole seasoning but i don’t know how that would work in with beans?
Any suggestions?
They are a mixture of beans, there are several different kinds.
I was afraid of putting fresh garlic in them, because i didn’t want the flavor to overwhelm the beans.

I would include salt, fresh garlic, fresh chili peppers and paprika. Try one of the Mexican recipes on http://www.fastrecipes.com or ask their community.

    Hope it turns out good!

Whatever you do, do not salt them until about ready to serve, they will be tough. Cajun season usually has lots of salt in it.
WHat kind of beans are you making?

Cook the beans with salt, two or three cloves of garlic and a quarter onion for about two hours until soft adding water ocationaly so they don’t get dry then season it with whatever makes you happy be it bacon, bell pepper, tomatoe etc. enjoy

I would add 1 bay leaf, one half onion, 4 cloves garlic whole, 4 black peppercorns, and any hot pepper you have around the house cut in half. Continue to cook them until ready to serve and then add the creole seasoning.

Need some diced onions and why not some jalapeno peppers. Or green chiles would be great, oh and don’t forget the garlic. Here is the link to my bourbon baked beans that might be an option as well. Enjoy.
