    Risotto – rice dish, usually with either shellfish or mushrooms in it
    Lasagna – pasta “casserole” type dish – layers of wide noodles,ground beef, tomato sauce, cottage cheese in a casserole dish finally topped with mozzarella cheese and baked.
    Pizza – you are kidding right? You don’t know what a pizza is? Pie dough with tomato sauce, cheese and other toppings – usually pepperoni, sometimes different veggies and meats on top and baked
    Tiramisu – Italian dessert – kind of like a creamy custard
    Minestrone – type of soup, usually red tomato broth with vegetables and macaroni noodles
    Parmesan – type of Italian cheese-you can buy a brick of it and shred it yourself at home or buy the fake powdered types in the stores – usually used to top spaghetti or other pastas
    Mozzarella – type of cheese, usually used in pizzas, known for it’s quick melting ability and stringy appearance when melted
    Gnocchi – type of pasta usually made with potatoes instead of flour
    Gelati – italian ice cream – less creamy than regular ice cream – kind of a mix between ice cream and sorbet
    Granita – kind of drink – lots of fruit in the pitcher, ice tea, and alcohol
    Hummus – a dip made with mashed chickpeas
    Tabboula – I am not sure on this one – I know it is a Greek dish made with eggplants
    Kibbeh – I don’t know this one at all
    Falafal – fried balls or patties of chickpeas and fava beans
    Pita Bread – round breads with pockets – you put your food into the pockets of the pita and eat it that way – usually made with gyros and souvlaki
    Calamari – squid, battered and deep fried – yummy!
    Gazpacho – it is a soup – not sure what kind – I think potato soup
    Paella – spanish rice dish – spicy with meat and/or veggies
    Sardines – little fish, pickled and canned
    Stilton – type of cheese
    Roast Beef – beef from a cow Yorkshire pudding – little breads (cupcake size) as a side dish with it – you put gravy in the yorkshire pudding – but they are not pudding, they are bread
    Bakewell Tart – not sure – a pie?
    Scones – baked buns – usually triangle shaped, they can have raisins or berries in them, you eat like biscuits at tea time – usually in England
    Kippers – in England – little fish? not sure
    Shepherd’s Pie – ground lamb (or beef) with corn and/or peas topped with mashed potatoes and gravy
    Cheddar – type of cheese – orange colour
    Peking Duck – a duck, cooked peking style – a certain style of cooking it
    Fried Rice – white rice that is fried in a pan usually with a scrambled egg, peas, bits of pork or chicken and mixed with soy sauce – Chinese take-out staple
    Sweet and Sour Pork – Chinese take out again – pork chunks breaded and fried, mixed with a sweet&sour sauce (orange sauce) with pineapple chunks
    Hash Browns – shredded potatoes fried and could be mixed with onions and seasonings
    Cornflakes – a brand of cereal made with corn
    Clam Chowder – soup made with clams – 2 kinds – creamy and non creamy – creamy is the best
    Cookies – come on!! chocolate chip, oreos, never heard of them?
    BLT – what it says in your question, bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich
    Baked Beans – beans cooked with molasses and syrup with or without pork chunks
    Cajun and Creole are types of cooking methods – usually associated with New Orleans style cooking

    not only do i not know what answers you are looking for (what TYPE of food)? but i don’t have enough time left in my life to go through your entire list. have you ever heard of a new invention called GOOGLE that is becoming quite the rage and has answers to all your questions? i hear you only have to ask and you will receive (answers to your questions).

    Tiramisu= coffee and alcohol italian dessert made with sponge fingers and cream
    Minestrone= a veg soup

    Gnocchi= italian potato dumpling
    Gelati= ice cream
    Granita= semi frozen sorbet-like dessert
    Hummus= greek chickpea based pate
    Tabboulah= a levantine salad dish popular in the middle east made from parsley, bulgur, mint, tomato, spring onion, and other herbs with lemon juice, olive oil
    Kibbeh= arab dish made of burghul and chopped meat
    Falafel= its egyptian and is a fried ball or patty made from spiced chickpeas and/or fava beans
    Pitta Bread= a bread pocket popular in greece
    Calmari= squid
    Gazpacho= a cold spanish soup
    Paella= a spanish rice based dish made with seafood or meat
    Sardines= a type of oily fish
    Stilton= a type of strong blue british cheese
    Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding= beef cooked in the oven and pastry ‘cakes’ usually eaten in the uk for sunday lunch
    Bakewell Tart= a cake made from pastry and jam
    Scones= cakes made with fruits such as sultanas
    Kippers= fish
    Sheperd’s Pie= a meat pie with potatos
    Chedder= a type of cheese
    Peking Duck= a chinese duck dish
