Ok, so I just went to Toronto for my first time last week and was told I should order from this restraunt. I dont remember what the restraunt was called, but I know it was in Toronto, and might have been cajun or some ethic type food. It was amazing, it was strips of beef soaked in a type of sauce for 2 weeks with brusel sprouts and rice and other veggies. I would love to know what that was called if anyone knows. If you know the recipe that’d be even better.
All i know is that I was staying at the beach motel on Lakeshore blvd w, and my friend I visited lives in toronto, about 10 minutes away from the motel. He said he was going to go into town and grab us this dish that is marinated in sauce for 2 weeks. It came in a plain bag so I didnt catch the name of the restraunt.

I am a former chef and live in Toronto ON, and eat in all the ethnic area, I have never had a dish were the meat has been marinated for 2 weeks, the meat would be soft and mushy and quite overseasoned, but the sounds of the other sides make me think it could have been from a Korean restaurant, do you remember the neighbourhood or street the place was on, if you can add anything edit you first query and I will get back to this question.

I have been living in Toronto for many years and I have not heard of this restaurant.
In any case, I don’t understand how can meat be marinated for two weeks. Even if the meat is refrigerated, it will spoil in two weeks. Perhaps the meat is cured before marinating??

Don’t know the answer to your question, but we love eating in Chinatown every time we visit Toronto. The food there is awesome!
We hate that new automated toll road though. We got a big bill in the mail two weeks after visiting for going only about ten miles on that thing and not even knowing we were on a toll road!
