Hello, Actually I’m cooking super. I’m want to get it done before mom gets home at five. Here’s my problem. Though ma and pa and my brother and friends and so on all say that I’m good at cooking, I have to say, I believe it’s just luck. I know absolutely nothing. When I cook, idk, I just cook. It some how turns out good.
What I need to know, is what spices to use to make this porkchup supper good. These are the seasonings that I have.
1:Pure ground Pepper
2:Ground ( Cayenne) Red Pepper
3:Ground Thyme
4:Ground Cumin
5:Celery Salt
6: Cajun Spice
7:Italian Seasoning x2( Italian herb seasoning in a grinder bottle)
8:Oregano Leaves x2
9:Parsley Flakes
10:Ground Nutmeg
11: Ground Cinnamon x3
12:Garlic Power
13:Chili Powder
14:Pure Vanilla
15: Imitation Vanilla
16: Green Food Coloring
17: Salt
Okay Not all of that was seasoning, but I just went ahead and listed EVERY thing I had in our spice Cabinet.
Okay, What seasonings would compliment each other, and the Pork chops??
Please don’t reefer me to some cooking site or cook book.
Hello, Supper is done, thanks for every one’s advice. Although, i didn’t take any one’s advise to be honest. I just did what I normally did. All though I did think about the lemon pepper. So i took a lemon we had in the fridge, and got a cheese grater, and grated some of the lemon skin of rubbed it in with some pure ground pepper. Also I found some Greek seasoning that some one stuck in the fridge for some reason. So I used some of that. I also used Oregano, and Italian seasoning. I got to searching again, and found yet a different seasoning in the back of the cabinet, that wasn’t even opened yet. so I opened it and used it. It said burger seasoning, lord knows what was in it, but i figured what the hay. ^__^ it turned out great in the end so, again, I guess I got lucky.

I love to cook, and recently bought a spice rack that is full of seasonings I’ve never used before. What are some vegetarian recipes using any of the following spices:
seasoning salt
thyme
marjoram
coriander
rosemary
savory (what is this?)
oregano
fennel
cajun seasoning
sesame seed
basil
chives
parsley
sage
I have used some of these before but I would still love recipes for them.
I’m so excited to use the fennel seeds, I’ve seen recipes on food network that uses fennel. ![]()
Thanks for your help!
Human bodies can not live off of a carnivore diet. Humans are made to be omnivores. I’m only vegetarian because I took too many anatomy and biology courses in school. *shivers*
Recipe and Nutrition Question?

I want to make this pasta (link ) http://www.recipezaar.com/tgi-fridays-spicy-cajun-chicken-pasta-359807 I found on Recipe Zaar and I have a question about the ingredients. The recipe calls for a red and green pepper…does that refer to bell peppers?
Also, what does deglaze with chicken stock mean? I am substituting with vegetable broth but I don’t know what deglaze means, I Googled it and I believe it means to remove all of the food but to leave the scrapings in the pan and add the broth. Can anyone confirm that?
Now for the nutrition question. Recipe Zaar indicates that 1 serving of that recipe (the entire recipe makes 2 servings) is 1055 calories. I just don’t see how that’s possible even with chicken.
Thanks for your answers. What ingredients from the recipe could I buy low fat? They are mainly vegetables and are already low in fat. Im not using meat or cheese

I am throwing this bbq for my parents as a surprise anniversary party. I’m having trouble coming up with what kind of food I plan to have, and if my choices are wise. So far, this is my menu…. (however, I am unsure of quantities for 50)
Appetizers
*Caprese Salad sticks (tomato, mozz. cheese, basil on kabob skewers)
*Bruschetta
*Queso Dip
Sides
*Potato Salad
*Strawberry Pecan mixed green salad
*Mac and Cheese (unsure about this one)
Meat
*Italian Beef
*Cajun Chicken wings
Dessert
*Italian Creme cake (pre-ordered)
I feel comfortable making these items. Any tips on time management or quantity of food needed? Any other tips on entertainment or seating advice? I’m a little stressed and I have 2 weeks to figure out the details. I pray for nice weather! Thanks for your input!

My boyfriend and I went to a Christmas party at his coworker’s house. I didn’t want to go at first because I wanted to rest at home, but I’m glad I went. OMG! His coworker had sooooooooo much food at her house. She had made fried turkey, boiled crab legs, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, mash potatoes&gravy, candied yams, green bean casserole, cajun rice, collard greens, baked honey ham, roast beef, dressing, corn bread, dinner rolls, mixed vegetables, and roast pork tenderloins. She also made homemade desserts such as devils food cake, caramel cake, pecan cake, banana pudding w/ rum sauce, strawberry cheesecake, several pecan and sweet potatoe pies. She even set up an appetizer tray with finger sandwiches, quiche, chicken salad, deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail and a champagne fountain. My boyfriend over ate so I had to drive back home.
P.S. Can I come?
