are there any cajun grandmas here that will cook me some grillades and grits?

Boil 1 up water and add 1/4 cup grits stirring until it starts to pull together then turn off the heat so they won’t ontinue to cook
Fry a slice of ham and take it out of the pan and put it on a plate. Throw a little fresh coffee in the pan to soak up the ades left in there from the ham. Not too much though.
Put your grits on the plate with the ham and dump the coffee over the grits.
You are talking great eating here but, we can’t deliver
